lol comedy gold on FM just then. Botafogo made a loan offer of £250k for my winger for the rest of the season. However, the transfer window had shut so he couldn't join them, and there was only two games of the season left anyway. So I accepted, he joined, I pocketed the £250k, then he returned to my club one hour later ^^

Win!

I've just popped back to have a look on here. I'm still playing my very first save on FM11 and progressing well.

2010/11 - Everton : Finished 2nd in the league, won the FA Cup. Pipped to the title by Man City
2011/12 - Everton : Won the EPL, FA Cup & League Cup. Stellar performances from Alberto Paloschi, Felliani and Micah Richards
2012/13 - Everton : Won the EPL, FA Cup & beat Barca on pens in the European Cup Final. Andy Carroll, Paloschi & Alexis Sanchez outstanding.
2012 - Took England job after Capello was sacked following the European Championships. Jettisoned every player potentially 30 or older at the 2014 WC. Won the Olympics with a very young side.
2013/14 - Real Madrid : Was offered the Real job and regrettably left Goodison. Cleared out lots of old, high wage earners and rebuilt around their youth and Neymar & Moussa Sissoko (free from Chelsea - World Midfielder of the Year). Won the league without losing a game. Lost in European Cup Final to Lyon. Ronaldo scored 62 goals in all competitions.
2014 - Won the World Cup with a young England side : Hart, Richards, Baines, Jagielka (c), Shawcross, Rodwell, Milner, Walcott, Rooney, Carroll, Johnson.
2014/15 - Real Madrid : Won everything, only lost one game all season (Napoli away in the ECL group stages). Higuain 50 goals. Quit Real for a new challenge
2015/16 - Rejected job offers from Chelsea, Inter and FC Twente, chose to take over at Cruziero, struggling in 12th place in the Brazilian Championship. Turned it around with a fairly elderly squad. Won on the last game of the season following an epic comeback. Mass clear out to bring through youth - Brazilian sides all have quality youngsters regened each season.

Currently Top of the Minias State Championship and in the second phase of the Copa Libitadores. I'm decided to return to Europe if I win this trophy. Everton have just been taken over by a Turkish billionaire and are in the process of building a new stadium. Dave Jones took over from me and has struggled to emulate my efforts. He's on the verge of the sack, I'm hoping he can hold out until the end of the season and then I'd like to return home...

Brilliant stuff McBain.

I just recently, last week, ended a game i had ran into 2025 with Aston Villa, i finally gave up and realised i'd broken the game when i became the all-time best manager of the world forever (past ernst happel in the hall of fame) with 10 consecutive premier league trophies, tons of everything one could ever win, gone through an entire season with 36 wins, one draw and one loss, and a sick regen striker with a generated value of 40mill, who managed three seasons in a row with over 100 goals in each, shattering Dixie Deans record with 74 goals in one PL season.

That's when i knew i could stop playing and leave the game and never pick it up again, not till 2014, maybe. I'm so done.
If you wanna see pics i could get around to it. Even upload the savegame.

Just out of curiosity, i went and downloaded FM Genie Scout to just check the hidden values of all my players - turns out i had a brazilian left back at 198 CA, and a 21 year old DC fast approaching his PA of an amazing clean 200. The 100-goal striker had 186, with most of the squad around 180. All that with honest scouting, stat searching and going for players like "Could be the next Gary Lineker" - which often proved to be wrong, btw.
I just see that your squad is full of some sick, sick players. Did you ever use Genie Scout to find those with the best ability, and so on? Cause that collection is almost incredible! Albeit i just stopped spending money, sitting pretty with a 150m budget yearly which i just used on young talent, which was sold on with 50% clauses to clubs when i found they wouldn't live up to plans. What's your angle, then?

I've just actually got homesick (in reality) managing in Brazil and resigned! I've took on the job at Berwick in the Scottish Third Division to be closer to home... bizarre though; despite managing Chapecoense from the third division to the first with two successive promotions and two cup wins, I was turned down in an application for the manager role at Longford Town in the Irish League. :S

Started yet another game..This time at Brighton..still crap at this..haha

Haha you'll get there!

In a bit of rut myself. Just resigned from Berwick after one game. Could shake the feeling of complete crapness that comes with Scottish football in general.

Just awaiting a new job offer now...

Played these since champ man 93-94 and still can't win for toffee..*pardon the pun*

*Note to self - must get a life* hahaha

I'm in 2017. I've won everything. A lot. 4 Champions leagues in a row.

My best signing:

Cost £2.9m in 2011. One of the first regans in the game I think. He's a beast. And he scored 15 goals in 1 season for me.
