Foot pain

Why don't you go to an actual doctor rather than consulting Dr GOT?

If i go my doctors they will just sign me off for 2 weeks for rest. I know how they work.

Whereas i don't want any sick leave out of work if i can help it, especially with the next 3 weeks.

Plus it is a pain in the arse to get to if there isn't anything seriously wrong with me, just wanted to see if there was a response from someone saying 'yes i had that, it was this' which would have eased my mind ;)

Genuine question: can't you simply say "no, I don't require time off work, I just want to know what the problem is"? I mean, you have a relatively sedentary office job and a slightly sore foot, right?

Life doesn't have to be like this.

I could but i don't want to argue against the doctor either, because they know more than me about it lol

Although when my hand was knackered i did refuse a 4 week note in favour of getting 2 x 2 week ones as i didn't think 4 weeks was what i needed, was wrong in the end.

Ash, I'm sure many of us have had sore feet, but there's myriad reasons for it so it's not like we can give you a sound diagnosis just like that.

As if a doctor will sign you off work for 2 weeks for a sore foot. They'll just prescribe you anti-inflammatories, tell you to keep your feet up, and come back in 2 weeks.

You mean the time you were in a battle of wits with a tinned pie and came out second best?

Bit weird. hurt when I woke up and it feels like it's a giant water blister in the area that I'm walking on. But there is nothing there , no bumps or anything like it's all internal. Hard to put into words, just what it felt like, that has gone now.

I have give in and wore trainers today, just explain when I get there why, should be fine. I mean I could have rang in injured!

Still hurts in them but less of a sharp pain so no limp lol

Thats the uric acid crystals which have formed inside your body.

As i told you yesterday

If there is suspected damage then my one would. Not even think twice about it. Or at least give me one week after the self certify period to make sure i rest up.

Seems to be better today though, wearing the trainers seems to help as it is less pressure on that area so not getting a massive pain every time i stand up.

Maybe not preferential treatment, but surely there's someone a bit more qualified than lads on a football forum you could ask?!

I don't know any ortho/podiatrists sadly. I know a cardiologist, a spine surgeon and a very senior financial director though.
