Football, when reduced to its basic elements is incredibly simple. It is about the creation and conversion of chances by the attack, and the reading and interception of attacks by the defence. In both elements the midfield is pivotal and our midfield is awful! Our most mobile and energetic player is 38 years old! We have two regular starters in Barkley and Deulofeu who seem to have been exceused marking and tackling of any kind, which means opposing teams can simply walk through our centre. When this is combined with a manager who is either arrogant or incompetent in his use of substitutions, it genuinely baffles me how anybody can beleive that this team will win anything or challenge for the top four?

Martinez is a fraud, a poor mans guardiola or wenger. He has always flattered to deceive and it appears he will continue to do so all the time he is with us.

No. We are excellent ......and then we turn into liquid poo. This rollercoaster starts to get under my skin.
