First thought after that humiliation...

Running out of patience with Martinez at the moment. This kind of crap is inexcusable and it's happening all the time.

Actually, my first thought was "I hope Mark Clattenburg catches fire".

My thought was if we could actually defend we'd be top of the league!
I totally agree, it's not even a case of us having poor defenders. We may be a little short in numbers but the quality is there. The problem is we don't have the coaching staff capable of drilling it into them. We need someone like Moyes, Irvine, Weir or Stubbs at the club.

I don't profess to understand the inner workings of tactical football management, I just like watching it

BUT

How can a team with 4 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders look so fragile? This is not a rhetorical question, I actually want someone to provide a reasoned response. Is it because our fullbacks are given such attacking responsibility that the 2 DMs have to cover their positions?

Gone are the days........... when we knew ..... once we got in front in a a game............ we would grind out a result. What happens now is... we all fear the worst and nine times out of ten .... we are right.

How would you describe it?

We lost a seven goal thriller in which we deserved at least a point.

We were denied a nailed on penno.....and were beaten with a dubious one.

Never happy about being beaten......but I know the difference between a close run, spirited defeat and a "humiliation".

And today wasn't one of the latter.

I was at the Glen Keeley derby......now that was what you call a "humiliation" :p
