you finish where you deserve to finish over the season.

If we finish 7th then that is what we have deserved.....

.....I'd be massively dissappointed though and would put my brown shoes to the back of the wardrobe.

If we finish 7th and go out of the cup then I can see the players being dissapointed with that finish. The fans will be split but still a lot of games to be played and we seem to be falling away at a rapid pace.

Average when you look at the player's we've got and the money spent, disappointing when you consider how well we've played and the amount of games we've either been had off by the ref or battered teams then conceded or not managed to score.

It would be average if we were under same management as last year

I'd class it as a good result because we have changed manager, backroom staff, style, key players and mentality without a drop off in results. I also enjoy watching us play far more than I did.

Its disappointing though given how good we were in December and how little money we still seem to have to spend compared to not just those we are challenging with but with lower level clubs.

It would be average but in all honesty I would be disheartened if it turned out like that. We have or had it in our hands to do so much better.

If you're 14th in December and finish 7th, it's boss. If you're 4th in December and finish 7th, it's gash.

In reality it's the same place, and the same season performance, but form dictates expectation and as our form of late has dipped, so has the optimism.

I'd have taken 7th and a good cup run at the start of the season, but that was because Bobby was untested. We now know that this team and this manager can do a lot better than 7th, and so I'd have to say it'd be a big disappointment.

7th is disappointing. Injuries and bad luck totally wiped us out. Forget the league though, we've gotta go for the cup full pelt!

Agree with this. Ultimately it proves that you can play football in any fashion you want and achieve precisely what's previously been achieved because nothing has changed off the pitch.

That said, we are a more substantial football playing outfit now and will get better at this system as time goes on if we get key additions for the final third of the pitch. I think under Martinez we can challenge for 5th/6th rather than the 6th/7th/8th under Moyes, purely because Martinez will go for it in tight situations.

Bitterly disappointed with how the season is panning out.

Last two away games for example, we play really, really well without having a striker and don't even take a point.

Compare that to the RS's last two games with virtually a full squad, they play appalling and pick up maximum points.

Seems to be the way of the world.

Devvo'd.

We played Spurs and Chelsea they played Fulham and Swansea

What on earth are you waffling on about

Exactly. We play good enough to take maximum points (you could argue) off both teams yet end up with zero.

They play turd and could lose both, to rubbish teams, yet take six points.

When that happens you know you haven't got a chance,

Or they have better players up front
