I'd have taken it at the start of the season, for sure. I had no idea what we were wandering in to with Martinez. We started the season brilliantly but unfortunately a combination of a limited squad in certain areas, injuries, poor form and opposition sussing us out has seen us dip slightly. Well, more than slightly.

It's the first season under a new, exciting, progressive manager. We've now got a manager who wants to build a squad not limited to just 13-14 players. We've at the very worst stood still at a time of major change when most anticipated that we'd struggle. The future is bright.

I would be happy but ony because we miss out on that Europa nonsense, but in reality it would be a disapointing way to end a season that promissed so much up until a month or so back

It would be a disappointment, especially as we are 5 points off 5th with a home game in hand, and our next 3 league games are all at home to lowly opposition. Regardless of position, I'd be more peeved at finishing below Utd.

I will judge the season more when its over, but I would say that if we finish 7th and get to the cup final, it will be a good season, if we finish 7th and go out of the cup before the final, then it would be disappointing. However I would still say that so far this season we have done better than I thought we would, at the beginning and I think Martinez is doing a good job.
