Be honest I hope we still go for a proper right back as well, such an important position nowadays a good, fast attacking fullback.

Used to be the mirror image of Coleman, but alas the and injuries have taken their toll. He needs replacing.

We wouldn't need cover, like @andy4efc said we still need a starting RB very much so.

I'm pretty sure our default position will be three at the back this season....3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 or even 3-4-1-2 with Rodriguez just behind DCL and Richarlison(with Kean getting lots of game time as well)....so Tomori would give us ample choice for the back three or a traditional four if required.

Tomori isn't being brought in for RB. he is seen as a CB only to give us four 'senior' CBs and to allow Branthwaite/Gibson loans to championship to assist their development (in the same way Tomori's loan to Derby helped him hugely).

We want someone at RB who can replicate what Digne gives us on left, adequate defensively but genuine width, pace and production (chances created, assists & goals) in attack. This is essential to Carlo's system to have two offensive full-backs who provide the width. Florenzi, Celik are the type of player we want for the role not CBs like Holgate/Tomori 'filling in'.

We are actually recruiting to a clear plan agreed between the manager and DoF. At last!
