The only way that can ever happen is if we start showing some ambition, and by that I mean spending actual moaning without selling players. Which involves investment. Which involves board members either putting their hands in their pockets and giving us money to spend, or accelerating the sale of the club by dropping the asking price.

Every club apart from your Barca's, Real Madrid's etc is a stepping stone to the top. Even Man U (Ronaldo), Arsenal (nearly everyone), Liverpool (Mascherano, Alonso, Suarez), Spurs (Bale, Carrick, Berbatov, Modric) have been used as a stepping stone to bigger clubs in recent years and its no different for us.

I can accept him wanting to move for CL football but I just wish he would keep his mouth shut about it. Everyone in football will know his clause and i'm sure his agent has told certain teams he would be willing to sign up, so why does he have to whore himself out at every opportunity?

Mate your not facing the reality, the board and manager could do **** all about it, the power was with the player and agent, and credit given to fellaini for not seeing his last year out and walking on a free in that regards, no ones lost out when everton could have been truly screwed over on this
