Fellaini

The thing that annoys me is non-fans of Everton's ignorance towards Fellaini's quality. Reading the comments on the SSN website, with United fans saying "he isn't good enough" and that "he's far too dirty of a player". Get real. The man would walk into United's midfield.

No complaints though, i'll be overjoyed if he stays with us.

Dont they still sing about Keano and Cantona ??!!

Then you get other fans on forums saying we will lose fellaini and Baines and plummet down the table.

Think we could do with selling fellaini and bringing in some quality

If he isnt completely wasted upfront he is our best player, no doubt in my mind, criminal from moyes playing him there once that plan got found out, if we'd signed Fer I could let it go, but to accommodate Osman, the felli/gibbo partnership is superb

seemed to me to be some indication in there that he didn't like Moyes that much and maybe even that Moyes was pushing to sell him. I don't care what we get offered for Fellaini, unless he is unhappy then he shouldn't be sold. I've been waiting for years to see someone in a blue shirt who can dominate a game the way he can. where are we going to get another player who could do this, even with 25 million. have a look around at the sh*t people have bought with that kind of money. don't know what some players have to do to convince people. he can't have said more than he will stay at the club while we want him. can't we let the media do all the destructive bullsh*t and make him feel wanted, cos i think a full season of a happy Fellaini in his best position is something we will all be glad we have seen.

I'd throw him the armband mate, play him in his proper position and see if he can drag the team to new heights, I'd be amazed if he went to Utd without a cast iron promise he wont be playing upfront

been thinking for long time that even if he was mercenary he wouldn't want to gamble and go anywhere before the world cup, but think he is genuine about loving the club and a new manager playing him in the right position would go a long way to guarantee he stays. going to United seems like its the media just causing trouble, either Alan Brazil has got a stake in that transfer or he knows it won't happen and has a cut from the bookies every time he says it will, but just cos of how desperate the media are to sell him its got to be worth keeping him. definitely irreplaceable in my eyes, unless we somehow convince Ya Ya Toure to move to us for 25 mill.

I love how the entire forum seems convinced that Moyes has been holding back every single one of our players.

Coleman/Fellaini/Jelavic/Mirallas/Barkley/Heitinga will all play like superstars now he's not holding them back anymore.

We'll walk the league.

don't think he was holding Fellaini back particularly, and even thought shoving him further up worked as a brief shock tactic, but his refusal to move him back when it was obvious that he was being found out there, and that we missed his presence in defensive mid, was a sign that he was starting to pay too much notice to what the media were saying and getting more and more cautious about change

Marouane Fellaini : David Moyes has
not talked to me about joining
United
"He got a good offer and I
understood why he accepted it. But
he never told me he planned to take
me to United. Rumours are part of
football and I take them with a
pinch of salt. Everyone likes that
question about Manchester United,
but I know of nothing."
"My destiny is with Everton, it's as
simple as that. We're talking about
one of the biggest clubs in England,
the framework is in place and the
manager's departure doesn't change
anything. I do miss playing in the
Champions League but we deserved
to win a place in it this year."
"We were unlucky Spurs had a good
season as well. But it's clear I am
very happy where I am. Everything
else is waffle."

some how i doubt he said the word waffle

maybe he said 'everything else is waffle'?

He really wasnt. Baines, Jagielka, Distin and Coleman were more consistent than Fellaini.

all of whom played in their preferred roles for the vast part of the games they played. The listed players are a unit, yes we have a sound defence and should build on that but imagine how good Felli could have been had he not been required to carry a woeful Jelavic for most of the season.

that is a great idea. Lots of people got on his back about show of frustration at the Wigan game, to me it showed just how much he cares and you can't fault the fella for that. We need that energy and passion from our skipper.
