He has grown. Or Valbuena has shrunk.

I went to a charity do at Knowsley Hall last year. I ended up on a table with Colin Pomford (Felliani's agent). Didnt know who he was at the time but as the night went on got chatting. He was telling me how Felli loved it at Everton and didnt want to leave, it was around the same time that the last lot of speculation was rife. Anyway i dont know if he was spinning me yarn but he did seem genuine and not a slimeball like most football agents are portrayed. However he did state that he was looking to get a better deal for him at Everton.

I am thrilled Fellaini looks like staying. He is a top quality player.
The lack of teams showing interest publically doesn't mean he is a bad player. Look across the park and how highly they rate the rat and yet no really top side want him. Not really been a lot of big transfers this window (other than City but their situation is completely different to others).

I do hope we are in the market for another CM. Not McCarthy's biggest fan but perhaps he might compliment what we have?
Another CH would be useful too.

It's possible that Moyes has simply been waiting for the clause to run out, so he can then bid for Fellaini at what he thinks is his market value. He could put in a bid of less that 20 million, which then unsettles Fellaini, and we end up selling him for far less than the clause.

In my opinion, Moyes doesn't want Fellaini, at the moment, and will only bid if he fails to sign his preferred targets.

I cannot see BK l;et that happening the blue Union would be on his back and the rest of the fans - so you are saying the 22/23 million clause has run out and we would contemplate selling Felli for less than the buy out clause ??? absurd if that happened for one he club can dictate the price now even if Felli asked to go!

If DM goes for Felli he won't be alone. I could see Arsenal for one joining in and if that happens the price will be nearer 30mill.

You're probably right, mate. I certainly hope you are. Maybe I'm being a bit of a pessimist this morning (the hangover doesn't help!), but as we've seen so many times, when a player becomes unsettled by interest from another club, his club has to either keep hold of an unhappy player or sell for less than they would like. I get the impression that Fellaini would be able to sulk to almost Anelka-esque levels, and have my doubts that BK would be as firm as that lot across the park have been with Suarez.

People seem to think that just cause a release clause is set at £Xm then a buying club HAS to offer that price. It only means they will have to pay no more than that prices realistically. If Fellaini had a release clause set at £90m, it would stop anybody from offering £5m. The lack of clause can only be good for us, if we intend to keep him, or sell him.

Exactly & this shatters the logic of those who are suggesting that Moyes has waited until the clause expired before making his move, as he was perfectly entitled to bid less at any prior point.

Its the great hope of the cynical masses that somehow Kenwright will now blunder into selling Fellaini at a price lower than the already very low buyout clause.
