Fellaini 'happy' to stay til 2016.

The fellaini hoofball bit of recieved wisdom annoys me more than anything else written on these forums.

It's just not true and yet everyone just mentions it as a fact.

*Distin/and or Jagielka long passes to Fellaini who chests and/or heads the ball to Pienaar, Osman or Gibson

Yep. And when Fellaini isn't in the team Distin, jagielka and Heitinga magically become beckenbauer and play all their balls to feet instead.

No wait they just lump it up the field the same only without Fellaini there we don't get to keep the ball.

Ahhh so you admit the hoofing exists! ;)

Great news.

Not in that it means Fellaini will stay - I'm not that naive - but it means that he is content to wait til we decide to sell him rather than be a t*t and pressure for the move.

Level head on his shoulders to be honest.

We hoof it when our defenders are under pressure and play it out to feet when they're not.

What we don't do is hoof it more when Fellaini is playing. Quite the reverse we do it less because Fellaini can win aeiral balls and move us from hitting long balls to playing it on the ground instead of us hoofing it, losing it getting under pressure and hoofing it again.

Or hes saying sell me or I move for free in 2016.

I think that was a given anyway. I was never expecting him to sign another contract unless we were taken over by a proper owner.

I'm made up the lad is saying he doesn't mind continuing his development with us right now. It means we can sell him in the summer of 2014 for a big fee rather than lose him when it doesn't suit us as a club.

I have no problems whatsoever with Fellaini wanting to leave Everton at some point in the future.

Remember, he could have seen out his last contract if he wanted to.

Totally.

Ok he was a little naive with his comments a few months back, but to be fair to the lad hes only ever said good things in the past and he signed his latest contract knowing he could have got triple money elsewhere on a free.

Nothing but respect for him.

I never blame a player for wanting to leave and better themselves, Mikel Arteta, but theres a right way and then theres a Lescott way.
