Beattie wasnt...well he was when he didnt have confidence...

WHAT IS STILL DONT UNDERSTAND IS - when Beattie took freekicks for us he blasted them in the wall, at Sheffield Utd he does perfect curlers - WHY NOT FOR US BEATTIE?!:dodgy:

He was a good finisher, he had nothing else to his game though. He was one dimensional and in this League you need more than finishing ability.

He wasn't good enough, he's a lower Premier League striker. With or without confidence.

Beattie was way out of shape and couldn't cut our system under Moyes. Marcus Bent was so much better with less pedigree.

Yak will prosper as Saha comes into his own. Also, don't forget Peanut is a great little assist machine get him in the groove with a less strapped Arteta and I think we will have a better second part than the first. The key being our health.

We've now gone 8 games since Yak and Vic scored against Stoke without one of out strikers actually scoring.

Of course it doesn't matter who scores as long as someone does, and its a good sign if your midfielders and defenders can get on the score sheet.

EDIT : actually Yak scored the first against Liege so its only 7 games.

And its now 8 games again.

So at the start of the season when Yak scored a few it was because the midfield were feeding him yet now he isn't scoring its all the midfields fault? What changed?

Yes he isn't getting brilliant service but he hasn't even looked like making a chance for himself. And his shooting when he has had the ball within range has been abysmal.

My money is on the Yak being a Tottenham player by the summer, and maybe in January.

Come to think of it, we could have a forward duo of Bent and Love!

Cant see that happening, not ever. Levy has said Spurs have limited transfer funds because of the new stadium plan, and Redknapp would rather have Defoe that the Yak -- who we'd sell for nothing less that £20mill IMO.

He's not going anywhere and he's gonna get a hatrick on Saturday!

What a load of [Poor language removed]. Like I said, Levy's said they've got limited transfer money and that he talked to Redknapp in which they both believe they've got a good squad but might add 1 or 2 in January. Now unless they sell players I cant see them spending £20mill in the transfer window.

Oh, and selling Yak would be a terrible mistake of epic proportions IMO

The only one worry I have about Harry and Yak is that the former is on record saying he would love to have taken Yak back to Pompey. Redknapp is certainly a a big admirer of our striker.

If he offloads Bent ...
