Im in real disbelief that Howard is being had a go at here. That was some goal that.

Really made up with that win, we were down to the bare bones tonight and you can see just how much more experienced we are in Europe now compared to a few years ago. Everyone, despite some being played out of position stuck to their task and were patient.

Some special mentions, Distin was outstanding, commanding and dependable. Hibbert slotted in and done extremely well in the circumstances.

I could go into those who played bad but considering how down to the bare bones we were it would be churlish - so a massive pat on the back to all.

Everton are great on days like this.

Five on the run, and more to come.

Howard isn't learning from his mistakes Chico, and they are very repetitive. He really needs a little insight into how to prepare himself better when under attack from medium to long range shots, and he isn't moving as quickly as he once did.

I feel your pain KB as I too once stood at the Give Jo A Chance Altar, but he really is very weak, and looked fed up tonight, especially when the ref ignored his foul claims. We can't justify his place at the moment with many other strikers available. The profit just isn't there from him so far this season. One good goal doesn't make a striker.

Maybe so, but he shouldve got most of those "fouls" and he did take a nasty looking knock on his knee but still played on.

Jo is a good option to have, different to the other strikers we have. Stick a creative midfielder behind him, he'll do the buisness IMO. He's only 21 also and he was a standout in our last European game.

I really dont see that mate, Im really happy he's our keeper at the moment as proven on Saturdays game.

Granted on Jo though, didnt want to say it but he's massively underwhelming this season.

No fecking way? Are people saying Howard could have got anywhere near that 35 yard old thunderbolt? Goals like that, you do not stop. As Walt says above, maybe mophead could have closed him down quicker, but when you concede goals like that, you just gotta say well done and move on.

If your not scoring, you should at least be holding it up, rain and strong wind yes, but still every single ball bounced off both Jo and Yakubu.

Yak looks like hes lost a load of weight, im very worried, he looks really, really skinny.

I'm not expecting to much from Yak at the moment but he is getting some good match fitness now.
Could the Yak ever be skinny? He's about 6ft wide lol.

And the chip?

I've studied Howard for nearly a year now, basically because there was a big discussion about him one night.
I really believe he's in danger m8.
