It is defo coming back because of money. It's not about some noble cause. This whole crock of cack is being manufactured for one reason and one reason only.
Money.
Money is hugely important for football. In truth, the whole conception of the Premier League was to generate money. Modern football is built on money. It's been the case for a fair few years now. It's not a secret or a wild conspiracy. Money is driving the return of the sport. It'll drive the conclusion of this season and the start of next season and we go from there regardless of fans' presence in the stadiums.
The only caveat to add to this is the false idea that 'money' is some kind of evil motivating factor. It's not. It's the lifeblood of the game. It's why Bury no longer exist - not because they had no fans, but because they had no money. Following this crisis there will be other 'Burys' but the next club might be a pretty big deal. Might be a PL club.
Football is a tiny industry relative to those in retail, services and tech. The margins are very tight. Clubs operate with large debts. Most employees within the sport are on low wages.
Money is required or the whole enterprise fails. That's why the governing bodies are desperate to get it going.
