Just to say Commiserations fellas.

I was willing you on but it wasn't to be.

You can walk away with your heads held high.

Good luck for next season.

Also like to add.....Chelsea resorted to pots shots outside the box because they couldnt break the defence down....and won on the back of it.

Chelsea the better team? Yes. Totally outplayed and destroyed? Not a chance.

We obviously where mate. We didn't get within 18 yards of there goal for the majority of the game.

Neither did they for the 2nd half.

Ended up just a normal Chelsea vs Everton game IMO. They have all the possession, never broke down the defence, we try and nick a goal. But the goal we did nick was the fastest goal in FA Cup history so we had to soak up everything fo 90mins.

You can pull up all the stats and shots they had but the fact was Howard never had to make one save. That 2nd half was mildly dull, with only two 25 yarders that did us. Their 1st goal was also sloppy very sloppy.

Problem I saw was that we never had the one player that just put his foot on the ball when we had possession - all we did was pass, pass, hoof back to them.

We paniced and hoofed, but defended well IMO - minus Hibbo. If we were destroyed I would've expected defence splitting balls and a 4-1 loss. What happened was a sloppy header, half chances, and 2 long range shots from 2 international, game changing, players.

Anelka nearly scored with two lobs, Ashley Cole got in one on one, and the fact that we had one half chance apart from the goal shows we were never in the game.

And regardless of whether they were long shots or not, the correct score was still 3-1.

I had that same feeling. Not much movement off the ball and Chelski's midfield dominated. Our right side collapsed and most of our passing was behind our man or way to strong for any normal player to reach.

Still after all the bad I still was proud of our team and definetly our supporters who mobbed all the camera shots outside Wembley in the pregame leadup.(y)

Fair do's. We were dogshit.

Was a typical Chelsea vs Everton game IMO. But for their half chances through our right (thats my IMO), they dominated. But I thought could've held out into extra time as they werent breaking the back 4 down, and we never because of a bit of magic from a quality player.

That's just my view of the game.

That's Chelseas game though. They can score without getting within 18 yards. We can't.

Fantastic start but we fizzled out,the better team won on the day.We have to put it down to good experience for the younger players,More to come to right(y)(y)(y)

We were just getting on top then lampard scored and it knocked the stuffing out of us.
We will learn from it and moysie will win us something, last season was a semi this season a final next season a trophy.
