Bottas top quality popcorning... can't help but feel Mercedes should've pitted Hamilton around lap 60 on to the softs and given Red Bull something to think about.

He was never going to close 26 seconds in 12 or so laps and even if he had the best would have gone from the tyres and he still wouldn't have passed. Better to be there within a few seconds just in case Max had a spin etc.

Only reason Merc pitted Bottas late on was to avoid any awkward situation had Lewis then had a tardy stop for any reason. They really should just come clean and say as much.

2nd place + FLnot a disaster for Hamilton yesterday, but as it has been for most of the year the Red Bull is still the car to beat.

With better luck and calmer driving Max could easily be 40 points ahead.

He's better than numerous other drivers on the grid.

Latifi, Schumacher, Mazepin, Kimi, Giovinazzi, Tsunoda, Perez, Stroll, Ocon

He is better than all of them, comfortably so in most cases

Not better than Kimi, well he may just be a tiny bit better than Kimi at this stage of his career but I would still hazard a guess that while he may out qualify him, kimi would probably be better in the race.

Well obviously he never got to the level Kimi got to but Kimi hasn't been old Kimi for like 8 years (some would argue even longer). I think he would comfortably outperform the Kimi of the past few years in both qualifying and race but who knows, hard to prove either way.

There is some top tier beef cooking up between Mazepin and Schumacher. Apparently they refuse to stand next to each other in intereviews and Mazepin got really angry about qualifying this weekend and then did some dirty move on Schumacher in early stages of the GP which resulted in damage to Schumachers front wing.

Quite, impossible to prove either way but what I'll say is a near 39 year old Kimi as soon as he was let go by Ferrari started pushing for and eventually got a race win, battling hard with Max and Lewis as well as his teammate to make sure he did it.

Let's see if Bottas uses his last races with Mercedes to try and get what will probably be his last win in F1.

Mazarin is quite possibly the worst driver of the last 10-12 years. He isn't very quick and to compound it has poor car control. I also think Tsunoda is poor. They should have had Albon in the 2nd Alpha Tauri and told him and Gasly they need to beat each other whilst also working as a team and the one who did both of these best would get another chance at Red Bull. I think they both suffered alongside Max bit have also both shown speed when not in a car set up for a teammate with exceptional ability. Massa was always quite competitive with teammates except when against Alonso. If the number 1 is that good the number 2 will always look poor. It is interesting that even Perez can't compete with Max but is getting away with it because this season the Red Bull is the best car on the grid. When Gasly was at RB it was arguably 3rd best so his mistakes meant he was so much further down and with less chance of recovery.

Be nice to see Russell vs Hamilton, hoping he will push Hamilton like Rosberg could at times. I think Hamilton will be somewhat annoyed with Bottas leaving, as Bottas was the comfortable second best to him in the team. Might not be the case with a developing Russell but let's see.

Following the extremely poor 2018 from Bottas I think he made good steps in 2019, mostly in qualifying but in races he was never going to topple Hamilton over a season. He'll do a solid job at Alfa (how could he not, with all that experience he has now) but as a Mercedes driver I thought he was so disappointing.

Don't think we'll get to see it, team orders will definitely keep them apart otherwise Hamilton will cry tears.
