Mazarin is quite possibly the worst driver of the last 10-12 years. He isn't very quick and to compound it has poor car control. I also think Tsunoda is poor. They should have had Albon in the 2nd Alpha Tauri and told him and Gasly they need to beat each other whilst also working as a team and the one who did both of these best would get another chance at Red Bull. I think they both suffered alongside Max bit have also both shown speed when not in a car set up for a teammate with exceptional ability. Massa was always quite competitive with teammates except when against Alonso. If the number 1 is that good the number 2 will always look poor. It is interesting that even Perez can't compete with Max but is getting away with it because this season the Red Bull is the best car on the grid. When Gasly was at RB it was arguably 3rd best so his mistakes meant he was so much further down and with less chance of recovery.

Maybe theres an argument that Perez has had some bad luck in qualifying over the last grands prix but deffo must do better. Agree also that Tsunoda has been extremely underwhelming, I expected more of him. Must do better next year.

Be interesting to see what happens at Alfa, I hope they retain Giovinazzi because I think he's actually decent and would be good in a midfield car. Excellent in qualifying last weekend but got shafted by a Ferrari (Sainz?) in the race which didn't get him that good result he needed to show that.

Ferrari will probably push Schumacher into that second Alfa seat though. Hard to know how good Schumacher actually is in that Haas but he doesn't look that much better than Mazepin...

Be interesting to see what happens at Alfa, I hope they retain Giovinazzi because I think he's actually decent and would be good in a midfield car. Excellent in qualifying last weekend but got shafted by a Ferrari (Sainz?) in the race which didn't get him that good result he needed to show that.

I think Schumacher is of a reasonable standard but he is a catch 22 position. People will always say he is only in F1 because of his dad. If he gets a decent ish car with a decent team mate and he is competitive this will be good. So Alfa Romeo alongside Bottas is actually an early opportunity for this.

Personally I'd say a F3 and F2 Champion deserves a shot at F1 with reasonable backing, but what do I know.

Mick probably deserves a shot in F1 but Mazepin's junior record is not top class by any means. He is there purely because of who his dad is.

Like Silverstone renaming copse 'Herbert Corner'. Get some drivers that win championships first Italy and then it might be understandable. Should have named the Mickey Mouse first chicane after him.

All said and done probably the best outcome for Hamilton, he will be confident of catching and passing Bottas and stops Max from being second and having a tow on Lewis. If the Mercs finish the sprint and the race 1-2 that will make their weekend.

Well that stuffs that then. You'd think Bottas would be able to fight his way through to a reasonable finish but he found himself mid pack last year and barely made much progress. Didn't Hamilton go to the very back and he only finished a couple of places behind his teammate?
