CL no contest, for the same reason I've always said. FA Cup is great, but does nothing to move the club forward. CL means there's a possibility of keeping Lukaku.

i do hope that we finish top 4. it will be tough, but i dont see why we cant.

I think even one qualification for the CL would sort us out for a few years. We'd probably be able to keep Lukaku and cement our place in the top 6 for some time and, let's be fair, it's several times the achievement of winning a trophy. Then there's the magic of european nights at Goodison, which the old place is made for. It's a waste that we haven't been able to host a big name and raise the roof for so long. I also trust RM to get a trophy in the medium term anyway, so perhaps it would be the wise choice (in this completely fictional world we're talking about here) to choose CL.

Like we all wanted to break the "Sky 4" away hoodoo though, it's getting silly now, we haven't won anything in going on 19 years.

Lukaku has been quoted as saying he wouldn't mind staying here if we qualified for the CL. I just want us to finish third or better so UEFA can't **** us over like they did the last time.

I can't see it. Although he's slated his parent club in the press he always finishes it off with he sees his future with Chelsea. What would be the fee?... I think £30m+ If he carrys on scoring. I'm not optimistic about keeping him. Financially it doesn't add up and there would be a lot of interest elsewhere.
