F.A. Cup success....or CL finish?

From next season, winning the Europa League guarantees a spot in the CL qualifying round.

Does that fact change anyone's opinion?

Win the Cup but finish outside the top four......but go into the Europa League with the knowledge that it opens up a new avenue to the CL?

Probably the FA cup. I just get the feeling that if we finish 4th we are getting a draw with Real or Athletico Madrid, or someone like Dortmund. We aren't wanted there.

I think the Europa league would be great if there was straight knockout and they kicked out the C-League flunkies. The competetion will have some games of concequence on while the C-league is boring the masses in the group stage. You want a cup for teams that don't have all that many resources, great, but why are you making squads who can't fill a B-team with internationals with a bigger fixture list.

Always the silverware for me your name lasts forever on trophies whereas CL qualification is a fleeting fanny - unless you're Liverpool drawing every game and they give you the fookin' thing anyway.

I'd give anything to see us win a trophy again, but as this season is panning out i'd say getting into the Champions League should be top priority. But if we did both i'd be over the moon!!

That is bizarre logic. CL qualification would mean he could get players like a proven striker to sign permanently!

No it wouldn't, because finishing 4th is not a guarantee you'll be playing CL football. And in all honesty, we are not ready for CL football
