Alex nyarko, the man with the kid n play fro, I remember the one shot he had on target against Chelsea which hit the underside of the bar and didn't go in.

Summed up the Everton team of the time perfectly

Everyone is forgetting Yobo! He was class for the first 5 seasons
my sons fav when he was younger. we went to Bucharest and he was so made up when he put us ahead.(he was 13 at the time) the rest of the game didn't go as good for him.

Beardsley was ace at a time when we were so bad. Because of a lack of proper talent in past 30 years we have had to resort to idolizing grafters. With the odd exception like kanchelskis we have had very few top drawer players.

It's a sad statement of Everton's last 30 or so years that the likes of Tim Cahill and Landon Donovan get mentioned in this thread.

Anyway for me it would be Southall and Lineker. The only two world class players I've seen in Royal Blue.

Actually scrub that I'd add in the young Rooney. Crikey he was exciting.

And maybe Big Duncan of the days he was up for it!

Yes and it really annoys.

Post 1980s I loved seeing the likes of Kanchelskis, Limpar, Rooney before he cashed in his lottery ticket......footballers who could play the game.

On his day Limpar was a really good player.

Oh and of coure the Big Man himself Duncan Ferguson.

Of course all the 1984 to 87 team. I'd love to see Premiership attackers get a welcome from Mr. Pat Van Den Hauwe. That man was tough.
