He was a ditherer but did a exemplary job for what he could get his hands on. Kept us in the right direction on very limited budget. Players all respected him and had a decent eye on talent. We just seemed to cozy at seventh I suppose.

The best thing about the David Moyes years was the fans faith in their manager which gave him the confidence to manage players as he saw fit. Since his departure that faith hadn’t been there, and pressure on Social Media keeps growing to kill the managers confidence and then the players confidence and will to win. With Ancelotti we as fans now have the chance to trust in a top class manager to get things right. We don’t need nasty comments from people, who, lets face it have hardly played since school and even then we’re probably weren’t even in the 1st team already criticising one of the most successful managers of all time. tje Moshiri millions have brought a strange sense of entitlement to us as fans and life isn’t as easy as that. Let’s get behind our manager and watch our team progress. It will take time and won’t be easy but Evertonians know all about things not being easy. ICWT.
The team performance via failure to adapt is what kills managers. Martinez had nearly 3 season - it got worse. Koeman and Silva had 18 mths - it got worse.

I'm not expecting instant success. Ancelotti is a proven CL manager, but you can't used Bayern silk purse methods on our sows ears.
He may have to start with 'Ancelotti - lite' then increase the dose as the players who can perform to a higher level come in.

Play crap and the Internet will go critical...it only the modern equivalent of the cushions raining down.
It's a sign, a symptom that something is not right.
But don't ignore it for too long.
