Yeah he got on for about 30 mins in the 2nd game , home loss 0-1 to Leicester. Hasn't featured in a squad since.Has Jose Baxter played any matches for U23 ? is he expected to or is he just with the team for training purposes ?

...lots of concentration on the more high profile forwards and midfielders but with our current plight I wonder if Morgan Feeney is considered one for the relatively near future. The physicality of the Premier League is very tough for a young CB to make the transition but maybe he'd get a game if he was at a lower league club (as per Stones and Holgate).
Probably more difficult for a young CB to step up if he's already at a Premier League club, as opposed to impressing lower down the league and transferring up.
I think he's one of the younger players but still captains the side at times. Bootle lad who apparently retains his season ticket as a lifelong Blue.
Get him on loan next year and if he does well, sounds like he has a chance. Rooting for him for sure.
For some reason Morgan Feeney wasn't in the recent England U19s squad - he captained their u18 last season and I would have expected him to move up . Maybe they are just trying others and he'll return soon, certainly there doesn't appear to be any negativity from Everton about him ...I think he's also making an impression at international level but @blueloon and others will know better.

He certainly looked composed playing at international level, but the comparison I've made in early games was with Trevoh Chalobah , same age , played alongside him but physically Chalobah looks a beast . I like Feeney a lot , but it's difficult at 18 to judge how he will mature physically, but he's not far off what Stones probably looked like at 18 and he looks ok now at about 23. I also love the fact that he gets experience as captain for club and country, but for me he's way off being close to a first team squad appearance this season. My out-of-the - box bet would be that his CB mate Lewis Gibson would get a squad place at left back before him, he's a year younger but physically looks more developed. Bottom line is we can hopefully enjoy a good partnership between the two this season. Monday Night Football has become more attractive of late!

Yep,said it in the Everton Ladies section before this,i will be watching both at same timme lolwomens derby also on the same night on BT sport, maybe a bit later so might see 2nd half.
I haven't seen much on the u18s 1-0 win against WBA last Saturday, but did come across this vid of the goal by accident, hope it works. Apparently we're doing Silent Movies now.
The youngster with the neat bit of control in the middle of the pitch and inch perfect through pass for Simms to score is Einar Iversen , 1st year Scholar from Norway. First time I've seen him and I think his first game time for the u18s .

I remember we had something in this thread about him back in July I think when he signed, then somebody started his own thread in a burst of excitement , it's probably died a death , ...... GOT that!..nice one, Iverson only looks small. It must be hard for youngsters of that age moving to a new country, be good to watch his progress.
