Everton Youth Teams Thread

Foulds is an interesting one for me. As a left footed, ball playing Centre half he's playing a premium position. That he's starting today for Unsy begs the question of how is he progressing and how highly is he rated by Everton...especially since he was signed by the Martinez regime.
My mate used to sell bags to him lollol

Interesting that once again Bramall was played at Right back and Alec Denny centre back. Can't say I'm impressed with the Echo's Christopher Beesley, he kept referring to Sambon in his tweets, even a basic knowledge of our U23s should have told him it is Bassala Sambou. The mistake on the team sheet doesn't excuse him getting it wrong.

Can't blame a kopite for not knowing one of our youth players.

Just got back, entering game. Our youngsters certainly knew they had been in a game with a big physical Accrington side. Henen missed a 1 on 1 in the first minute when put clean through. Sure enough within 5 minutes, they were ahead renshaw (who didn't have the greatest of games) bringing down their forward for a pen. Pretty even till just before half time, when the impressive Robinson crossed for henen to supply a cool finish. Within a minute we were ahead. Donker worked tirelessly on the left, picking out Bowler (who showed some good touches) who couldn't miss.
In the second half we controlled the game, henen forcing their keeper into a great save. We then made widespread changes (8 in all) and struggled to maintain the momentum we had built up, before they scored against the run of the play from a set piece to make it 2-2. Another set piece proved our undoing shortly after and we were suddenly 3-2. Everton pressed for an equaliser and duly arrived, after good work from Mathis down the left found Bramall, up from full back centrally,to apply a crisp finish.
A good physical work out for the lads, on the longest grass I've seen on a pitch, which made crisp passing football difficult at times.
Gethin jones, Grant, Bowler and Robinson all had decent games, but I thought the best player on the pitch was Marty Foulds who really stood out and didn't put a foot wrong.
