Everton Youth Teams Thread

If Unsy does it again with a basically new squad, he deserves mention for a head job somewhere - if he wants it. I think he does anyway. He appears to be exactly the type of modern manager who can be successful. Strong technical knowledge, a good leader, and very much a strong man manager. Despite being a defender, we play some great stuff under him.
What level do you think Unsy has to be managing at before he would be considered with us as a future manager?

I heard a few things about him about to have more control over or youth set up completely, don't know how true it is but If he was heading up our whole youth operation I'd feel in safe hands.

I know it's early doors but I've said before, I'm not totally against him becoming our next first team manager. Its a system that works well on the continent, promoting from within, particularly in Germany and Spain. I think it's likely that Ronald will be looking for new challenges at the end of his contract. Unsy will know a lot of the players that have come through the system. He knows the club. The club's new set up means he will effectively be a first team coach so his lack of experience as a club manager shouldn't be an issue. Finally, and probably most importantly, I think by that stage Ronnie's rebuilding process will be mostly complete, and we will be competing in the champions league, which will reduce the reliance on Koeman's name to attract players.

Hi Callum:) Haha

Give me a shout if you do mate, always good to meet other blues, I'll give you the low down on the best pasty shops
I wish. The 55 in my username was my age when I joined the forum mate;)

Been a frequent visitor to Cornwall (yes I know Plymouth is the other side of the border) for over 20 years now and have just decided we're going to retire down there. Will mean giving up watching the blues but apart from that it's all upside.

Where are you based mate.

I would think he the Eddie Howe model is the way. Take over an EFL team, probably a Championship side, and get them promoted and successfully keep them in the Prem.

Well that would be a different kettle of fish if they make him the head of the entire academy. That's a steady gig serving the club you love for life. Like Ray Hall.
