Everton Youth Teams Thread

Pre season is the perfect opportunity for Kenny.
He will probably have three weeks rest after this tournament and will be into training still reasonably match fit and game ready.

He will have the opportunity, it is up to him then.
There is no reason to suggest he won't be given a chance when you look at all the young players that played last season, the management will have been watching him every day in training and of course in games.

I think the next step for him is to stop being considered as an under 23 player. Holgate, Davies and possibly even DCL now considered senior players, Lookman somewhere in between and Kenny now needs to push on and establish himself as a first team squad member.

I know Brewster hasn't really kicked on as much as we hoped this year, but I'm surprised that he's been released. Showed a lot of potential in the under 18's and could be a good option for a number of clubs.

I think a few people have mentioned he's had a few injuries plus @Eggs mentioned he didn't do as well as he should have when on loan to the likes of Stockport and Southport.

It's a shame becsuse I really liked the look of him in the Dallas cup last year.

..it's a cruel reality of the game and a reminder that whilst the rewards are massive for the players who come through there are more that are discarded by clubs. All we can do is wish them the very best.

Amazed Brewster is gone. From being a scoring machine I thought he was the best youth striker we had. Was surprised he didnt get a run with u23s then off he went. I'm sure there is a back story here. Saw him for the first time (on tv) when they toured South Africa. It was then he reminded me of Lukaku. He seemed bigger than the other boys and was quick as heck when he got going. Powerful striker. I am not that enthused about any of the older age striker boys.

With other stepping up or moving out surely a year in U23 would be appropriate? Nope.. clear back story.
