It was merely an observation. They were far easier chances than that amazing header he scored a couple of games ago.

Although I can't really see it happening, I hope he develops into a dependable goal scorer for us.

Great to see the Everton boys through to the semis. It was a bit of a back down to earth game for Kenny and Lookman though as both failed to live up to their previous excellent form.
Dowell was the best of the blue boys for me. A cultured left foot on show.
DCL was pants as usual. Looking at his gf, his new contract, and all the chances he gets at club and international level he's clearly done a deal with the devil.

Dowell was poor for most of the game . Very frustrating to watch

...just got home from holiday, my daughter got a text off my son as we landed to tell me the score. Chuffed. It's competition football so you get through and move on. The one thing I mentioned last week is the team are defensively solid which helps a lot. I haven't seen the game but the CB has been a colossus.

Can't help but think these games are accelerating our boys growth tremendously.

Cook and the two CBs were for me the best England players.

Cook, I thought, was great, along with Walker-Peters. The two CBs dealt with most of the stuff when it was crosses being pumped in once they were down to 10 men but I would hope to see that with an English youth team given their size and style of play. I thought they both got drawn out of position too easily in the first half, though... Fry looked especially nervous with his distribution.

Kenny was impressive in shutting down his side of play for a large part of the match.

Hinchcliffe, Power and Barrett were all there during that time but none match according to their latest wikis - unless Hinch has taken up scouting for the summer perhaps???
