The interesting thing about this list is that there is still no Academy Director , I.e. The guy at the top , in place as . As far as I know we haven't replaced Dr Peter Vint , who left in quick, mysterious circumstances. I would really like to see Lee Carsley appointed , but he's currently City's u18 Manager and no doubt on big bucks and a great squad to work with, but fits the ex player model. I think Joel Waldron Head of Academy Operations was placed in temporary charge, don't believe it's been made permanent yet though.

Nowhere near ready from the few games I saw. Lazy, comes in and out of games, no aggression/pressing. No way Big Ron will play that.

..I'm not sure lazy is the right descriptor but I know what you mean. He drops back and takes up decent positions when the opposition has the ball but he switches off at times and ball watches. I agree he doesn't play the RK pressing game.

I should have been more specific. He has the appearance of laziness, even if he isn't. The first derby game I saw last season he was deplorable. Might as well have played with ten men. And he had Koeman in the stands watching.
All the talent in the world, but with intensity issues.

Watching him for the U23's compared to this World Cup I do wonder if maybe he doesn't try as hard for Everton because he's progressed beyond academy football? His best games for me have been for England and also his PL debut vs Norwich where the football actually matters.

As I said mate, has all the talent in the world. But as they say, 90% is above the shoulders.
It's up to him. How great would it be to get 2 or 3,or 4 even, from this batch into regulars for the senior team?
