Everton Youth Teams Thread

If the U18's win at Man City on Friday in the FA Youth Cup QF they could meet either Crystal Palace or Blackburn Rovers in the semi finals. Palace won 3-2 at Villa last night with two stoppage time goals and Blackburn had a late winner at Turf Moor to beat Burnley.
In the last QF Man Utd play Sunderland next Wednesday (18/3).
The semi final draw is on Friday . Our game at City will be on the official FA Cup YouTube , useful to know if you doubt our ability to provide our own stream .

We need to make him wear a slipper on his right foot and a boot on his left in training to stop him being so right footed - saw that in a comic when I was a kid , pretty sure he scored a hattrick with his left in the next game.
Was the comic The Wizard or The Hotspur? Can’t think of the footballers name at the moment!

Was it Roy Race of Melchester Rovers ? :)
Probably The Hotspur, not Roy Race he never needed any extra training, it was definitely mentioned though , even if we can’t remember the player ! Lord Boot , who’s butler brought him his half time drink on a silver plater, only needed one foot to burst the net with his shot and sometimes burst the ball!

All good fun, but so as not to leave any doubt I regard Olayiwola as an outstanding prospect , he’s probably even ahead of where Armstrong and Graham were at this stage in their careers looking at respective u18 and u21 performances.

Yes I haven’t seen a great deal of him but what I’ve seen is impressive and I think there are quite a few 16 and 17 year olds coming through together now not to mention one or two 15 year old’s. The future could be very bright and I hope we win tomorrow at City to get the ball rolling.

City are top of the League, beat Chelsea in this cup and are likely favourites to win , it so a win would be massive. It can be hard to interpret stats unless you know teams well , City have dropped points at u18 in the last six games but their u21s have won their last five games . Maybe they’re having a wobble or more likely talented u18s moving up to u21. So a challenging match tomorrow, but a chance for 4 or 5 of our most promising players to make a mark.
