Everton Youth Teams Thread

Nah past few seasons we have had very few livestream games. I was very vocally angry about it most weekends
Maybe seasons ago, but ive found the u21's to be quite accessible over the last 18-24months personally. Especially at home where it's much more feasible. I *imagine* that sometimes they don't want the game streamed. But perhaps that been an issue of the past.

I do enjoy watching anything Everton though it's nice to see what talent we have 'coming through'.

I wont even pretend to prounce his name or anytihng, but the CM has caught my eye. Initials T.A or something.

Akarakiri?

Malik Olaywola or Demi Akarariki

One of those. Appreciate it looks bad - it is with good intentions I just cant remember which one really stood out in a game that was at Goodison. Maybe both impressed. Just remember the lad was bodying players and really looking after the ball, driving with it, really good signs to see.

Both in the u18 squad but were playing u21s, didn't look out of place.

I believe there’s been more live u21 games this season than in the past, having games at Walton Hall Park and removing the previous restriction of not clashing with PL matches has helped. Can’t be bothered counting and comparing, just a feeling.

I think it’s Malik Olayiwola you’re taking about , Akarakiri is good, Olayiwola is a step above I’d say.

Olayiwola is the bigger talent but with TA as the initials you're thinking of Akarakiri who I'm not sure has the same potential as Olayiwola

Cheers lads, didn't really want to say "a black lad" and get mixed up. Whatever game it was (possibly the 3-2 win over PSV??) they both had good games but one of them looked a step above in terms of how he handled himself, physicality, ball control.

Some good talent in the academy, whatever changes the club have made over the past few years seems to be a positive one.

No worries Andy mate ;)

he played mens football at 15 with no issues (albeit at far lower level)
I like theories. My theory is that playing a number of games in men’s football prepared Graham better than his peers so he hit the ground running quite quickly when he joined us and started making an impact at u18sin his first few months. He seemed to plateau for a few months but has kicked on again this season .
