I've liked the look of him in FAYC games but let's not get well ahead of ourselves. The fact his contract was up for expiry before Thelwells departure and he's only ever played 3 mins of u21 football shows he's not that highly rated at the club. Patterson, Gomez and Armstrong are 3 lads around his age that are all ahead of him, as are Metcalfe and Olayiwola who are 2 years older/younger. It'd be nice to keep him but I'm not sure it's a desperate need outside of fielding a competitive u21 team next year.

I've not been impressed by Foster personally, set piece expert but he doesn't impose himself on games and his passing is very hot and cold

Dixon needs hooking. Their No.11 is tearing Everton apart.

Somewhat a running theme with a few around his agegroup that they try and coast through these games halfheartedly. He really needed a loan in January

I've got some sympathy as he presumably expected this season to pan out differently, needed a loan in the summer but had to be kept to cover the firsts, without that giving him enough football to make it worthwhile so got caught between stools. But yeah he seems to have taken the hump- if he's too good for 21s football he should be showing it and he isn't.

Ha. I went to check if Max Dowmsn. a very talented Arsenal u18, was on the bench . He isn’t , but the site was showing 1-3 then it changed back to 1-2 after Leban saved the penalty!
