Sherif skies a 1v1 with almost last kick of the game.

Niggly match. Not much from the Everton pov, until Okoronkwo and Apter (?) came on and the game got a bit stretched.

Just to finish up this tournament (almost) we drew 0-0 with Freiburg (the most local team and, according to commentators, well-known for their youth academy). We were the only team to take a point from them and they did look a very well-drilled team.

Three draws and third place in the group which means EFC will be playing against Schalke 04 tomorrow for 5th place. 13.15 CET, 14.15 BST.

Everton 1-0 up (Okoronkwo, I think) against Schalke 04.

Cold, peeing down, windy and the pitch is looks like a field after three days of games on it.

Apparently we have a sin-bin in these games. Everton player (17) sent off for five minutes for a high tackle.

Schalke player sent off in the last minute for pulling back a player who was through.

Full-time 1-1. Apparently there are going to be penalties for the much-desired 5th place trophy.

Everton miss two penalties and finish up in 6th.

…actually don’t mind this. If there’s one thing I suspect he lacks it’s competitiveness so we’ll find out lots about him.
