Everton Youth Teams Thread

It’s just the way the competition was set up , to give English teams a chance to play foreign opposition at home. There are 12 English and 12 foreign teams split into 3 groups of 8 teams . In each group the four English teams play the four foreign teams at home, 4 games each. English teams don’t play each other in the group stages, for instance the RS were in our group but we didn’t play them.

I think the knockout stages will be similar, with English teams playing at home and if two foreign teams are drawn together it will be at a neutral venue in England.

After him impressing in Australia, he should have been given a start against Wolves to show hard work gets rewarded. The fact Lampard continued with a 3 that had stopped working before the World Cup and straight after the World Cup I'm sure would have disappointed Price

hopefully hes smart enough to realise lampard, while well-liked by most of the players, was completely clueless.

….from what I recall we usually lost games to foreign opposition, which I put down to the fact that youngsters abroad play open-age football.

Wish they'd sort a better camera set up for these games. At least a camera on the other side. Can't be that difficult to do can it? Also hate the way they leave the intro text on the start of the highlights so long you miss half the build up to the first clip.

Everton u21s play away to Man Utd u21s tomorrow afternoon with a 1pm ko, Man Utd in 8th are on a run of 4 league wins, and are 1 point behind us in 7th, The game will not be Live on MUTV due to prem game between West Ham & Chelsea, but there is due to be highlights later in the day via Man Utd

Real shame for Mills as he started the season really well and should have made some first team appearances when he was in form.
