Another quite ugly performance, tbh most of the games in Sams winning run has been. But I suppose that was needed, I hope to see a bit more at the weekend but it will be a hard game but we are improving slightly, but mostly results have improved massively and that's the most important thing .

Fat Sam's after match interview was amusing: he twice said "once we got behind Everton's defence , the opportunities came"... a 'senior moment' no doubt, after managing so many clubs.

I'm anything but entirely convinced that he's the full quid.

He barely knows how to pronounce the names of his own players, but momentarily forgetting which club he's currently managing certainly is next level....... lol

He probably still can't believe he's actually Everton manager to be fair, he's usually the team at the bottom of the league going into Christmas

Whilst Gylfi was more prominent second half and struck a sublime goal to put us in front, I personally felt his first half showing was pretty average at best. Granted, the first half in general was pretty poor, it's in situations like that where we a=our more gifted playmakers to actually makes some plays and he largely didn't until the second half.

DCL got my vote as I felt his all-round work rate was very good, he won more balls in the air than could be expected for a forward still learning and as yet, not ideally suited to that line-leading role, and he was quick and alert to put home the rebound on the first pen.

Williams continues to look more comfortable at the back playing under simple instruction from SA rather than how he looked under RoKo, Saturday against the likes of Morata, Willian, Pedro etc will be a much stiffer examination of his recent improvement.

I was fortunate to break a tooth today,so poking a nerve with my tongue was less painful than watching that 1st half,if Kid Creole hadnt given the penalty away I think it would have been a struggle to get back into the game, anyway Gana MOTM for me

Sam seems to see what's wrong. Didn't call him out publicly but is annoyed with Williams for his "marking" for their goal. Hopefully he gets over the idea of Schneiderlin after seeing the reality isn't there anywhere near enough. A deeper Rooney with a Vlasic/Lookman further up the field or straight swap for Davies. Saying that don't see it happening for Chelsea as we'll be trying the Mourinho tactic again and relying on DCL to keep his god-like status.

He has the same squad as Koeman was failing with TBF
