F#*k Lescott off!! Apart from the first 15mins (which was to be expected) we bossed the game, and they looked an ordinary side.

Rodwell and Fellaini were excellent in midfield, King Louis is the dogs, Neville didn't do much wrong, he'll have to play CM sunday.

Hibbert did really well, his link up play down the wing near the end there was class - reckon there's a new right back coming in so he's playing for his spot....

Only downsides -

Fellaini really probably would've given away at least 2 pens with another ref.
Gosling needs to be loaned out for regular action, shame our squad size means that's not going to happen.

thats an excellent decision in my opinion. we all know how deeply we struggled after losing carsley, and neville has done wonders to step into that defensive midfielder role, but DM is probably the most experience intensive position (IMO), so to start someone so young in such an important position shows great confidence in Rodwell.

neville will be okay at CB, and i really think rodders will rise to the occasion.

Good result in the end and just what we needed.

Make no mistake about it though, we were awful first 20 mins and if they had of scored the 2 penalties they should of had things would all be different.

We rode our luck at times. Some of our players played passes which would of made schoolboys playing for a hospital team in a pub ashamed, and our positional play in midfield and right back was once again awful at times. Closing down a player with the ball is one thing but just aimlessly chasing it and leaving space behind is bad.

But we done enough to get the win, stuff needs to be worked on but how often have we said that.
