Oh Good times, Just got in from the match, the 1st 20 mins were abit dodgey but after that we were brilliant. Everyone put a good shift in tonight.

What a screamer by Rodwell (his 2nd) was right behind it.

Frodo at left back was my man of the match.

I have to say there were some excellent performances tonight , but the one that stood out for me more than anyone else was Tony Hibbert .

I would have to say Baines for MOTM. Though Rodwell runs him close.

And he put his heart and soul in the whole match (as did Hibbert). Baines my MOM. But let's not forget in all the euphoria we could have been badly stuffed tonight with those two early penalties. What goes around comes around and we got ours back tonight.

4-0 great result and no away goals too but what was the performance like.i didnt see the game so were we just playing really bad opposition or we light up the pitch??

We were playing nervous [Poor language removed] until we scored, and then scored again. Kind of the reverse of the Arsenal match in a way, except we were dead lucky with the decisions and the breaks. But we were comfortable in the end and hopefully can take the confidence through to Burnley.

Awful first half, decent second half.

We really need to sort our midfield out to be honest - in Europe Osman should play in the middle until Arteta's back. Cahill and Fellaini simply aren't good enough in possession in central areas.

Saha's top class, Rodwell was decent, Neville Mr reliable and Hibbert was much improved. Get Banega and a winger in and we'll be good to go.

very nervy start. We really should have had two pens against us. They played well, going up and staying back in numbers. They did tire towards the end.

Most of our play was pumps up in the first half, then we started to pass it, and once the goals came we began to play them off the park as they tired. Second half performance better than first, and final 20 minutes more like our European performances with our mojo firmly back where it should be.

Two goals of the season, a poor crowd of 27,000 and a commanding man of the match performance from rodzilla which makes carrick / barry look like pensioners.

Shame for Johnson, feel for him.

thanks mate.sounds like a shaky peformance and th luck rolled our way!!
really hope this gives them a confidence boost cause we cant afford to be dropping points for the first few weeks of the prem while we get up to pace.
