Everton vs Middlesbrough

I think we'll win this one too, especially seeing as Boro have a few injury problems of their own.

Not sure where all the over confidence on here is coming from though, thinking this will be a stoll in the park. I've seen nothing in our home form this season to suggest that. Now if we were playing away...

I just hope Moyes is seeing what I and most others are seeing- Neville should definitely start- at right back! Jagielka in the middle with either cars or gravo. Baines should be in the team and at left back!

I really like the look of Baines in our side he has got a great left foot and can play as almost a wing back due to his energy. I personally have always like the 3-5-2 formation- maybe we could try it?!

-----------Howard-----------
----Yobo---Stubbs---Lescott----
-Neville-Arteta--Jags-Cars--Baines
---------AJ-------YAK--------

i wont give a prediction for this game as im still far from convinced that our team have the ability or players currently to beat even the most average of prem teams.

too many players are out injured.

too many players are just are not performing but still get picked.

too many players are just are not good enough but still get picked.

our strength in depth looks good enough on paper . in reality its shambolic.

balance , ability , the middle , out wide , first choice and back up , the midfeild is a complete shambles.
only arteta cahill and gravesen are worth a piss in this area of the team.
the rest wont look out of place lining up for the likes of derby or worse.

ok sod it , i will give a prediction of sorts.

a very very unimpressive 1-0 win to everton .......at best.
a 2-0 win to boro.downing and cattermole to get the goals...at worst

edit ps. neville and jags are defenders not bloody midfeilders.

Almost right- Neville is a defender and Jagielka can play in defence or midfield. Was that patronising enough for you?

lol
jags and nevilles best position is rb.

jags can also play cb and cm .but not as good as even the most averge cb's and cm's.

neville can also play lb and cm ,but again only as good as the most average of lb's and cm's.

these options to play in any other position than rb should only be used as a last resort .
my argument is that moyes plans to play them in these positions regardless of wether its a final resort or not.

I think jags is best in the midfield actually.

Jags played most of last season at CB for Sheff Utd and was voted their player of the season.....mustn't be that average after all, eh? :P

I like Jagielka at central midfield- he did well for the blades there and I think he has got teh energy and range of passing to compete. Thats just what i think

I agree with you, he is alot more composed then both Neville and Carsley he often looks to pass it through the midfield and not over it.

Composed is right. I like him at center mid and think he'll get better as the season goes on and the midfield personel around him settles.
