I don't how you guys wave but i've never seen anyone do so by making a "get up" gesture with your hand.

Difficult to tell from the footage mate, but watching his interview on Everton TV, i'd be very surprised if he was attempting to goad a player, as he respects those with experience, was in awe, and seems to be well down to earth.

or Hellerad's explanation

Its easy to tell from the footage.

He put his hand out in front of him and moved it up and down a couple of times in a "get up" motion.

He didn't put it at head height and move it from side to side in a "waving hello" motion.

Not that it matters, i think its funny him telling the keepr to get up but he clearly didn't wave to the crowd.

you can't spell keeper, so i refuse to believe you.

Just watched the game in full. I really enjoyed that, 3 at the back is really interesting and I can see the advantages of it. It seems to fit our defenders quite well already, our centre backs are quick so any gaps that are exposed can be filled most of the time and we've got possibly the best full back pairing in the league.

Pienaar looked good playing more centrally and I was pleased with Anichebe's hold up play, he bullied Ogbonna and Lichtsteiner all evening. John Stones looks an accomplished centre back already, I couldn't believe the confidence and maturity he showed, and that penalty was ridiculous.

Also on to how made up Barkley looked when Pirlo offered to swap shirts. I like to think Pirlo did that because he knows he's going to be a special player.

He may have, and like you reckon, it would only be banter. But i'm not quite willing to rule out some quaint form of celebration, a cooling down motion post stress, nor some peculiar natural phenomena pertaining to the local geography.

But it was ace and vanity from that lot wasn't a surprise. Coyb's :)
