Lets round it up.

Mucha - 4/10 P45 for you son.
Coleman - 5/10 woeful today lad.
Heitinga - 4/10 Kone ran you into the ground today and you never got close. Sod off back to anywhere with your awful attitude.
Distin - 5/10 its all well and good pointing the finger at other markers after the corner has come in FFS. A rare player whos brain seems to have gone before his legs have.
Baines - 6/10 our superstar supreme today, first half the only player to be able to control the ball, passing was well off though.
Mirallas - 5/10 and people gave Gravesen the 'headless chicken' moniker. I'd be a billionaire now if I could find a bookie that would give me odds on our Kevin picking the wrong bleeding option every bleeding time.
Osman - 4/10 been off the pace for weeks if not months, his game requires much more energy to help quell opponents than Carsleys game ever did and so many games and knocks into the season hes simply goosed.
Neville - 0/10 Findus needs to get this nag into some microwave lasagnes ASAP !!!
Pienaar - 4/10 Bad bad bad by his standards, first touch of a wrecking ball and the passing was even worse. One of his worst games ever. Ever.
Fellaini - 3/10 petulent, started lashing out as it wasnt going his way (decisions) and basically bottled it. Not good enough from a supposed CL superstar to be.
Jelavic - 3/10 Hardly saw him except for when I noticed a blue shirt on the deck. Is he wearing Anichebes old boots?

Anichebe/Barkley/Gibson - all thrown on when the game was over, no scores for these as the damage was done to such an extent they'd have needed to raise Lazarus 3 times to make it count and Easter is miles away.

Moyes - a big fat ZERO. Instead of trying to out think the opposition just give it a go and play to our strengths instead of trying to be too clever. Its fiasco's like todays that are the noose tightening around his neck.

Embarrassing.

A pretty harsh summing up at times .... but mostly accurate.

I would pick out Pienaar for comment, and to say that if he had played the way he has for the last couple of months during the second half of last season, I doubt very much that we would have paid good money to bring him back permanently again.

Tried to explain to Mrs R why this defeat feels so much worse than normal. Couldnt really make her understand, but two points she got.

1. I wouldnt say i have never seen supporters leave early, but I have never seen so many leave so early. It didnt feel like an Everton match I was watching.

2. Booing our own players. Again, I have never heard that before, justified or not. That is not a dig at the supporters, at all, but it was a second example of how the whole match just felt like it was not an Everton team I was watching.

Taken me, what, 5 hours, to be bothered to post on here, such is the bewilderment I have felt all afternoon. I can take a loss, but in the last 10 years or so, I have never been so bemused at how abject a performance could be.

Fair comment this.

I think the whole atmosphere as the match progressed towards an inevitable defeat was an awakening of the masses to finally come to terms with the fact that Moyes has had his day.
It's taken a long time for the majority to wake up and smell the coffee .... or in plain English - realise that MOYES IS A LOSER, A BOTTLER - and will never be any different no matter where he ends up, and as stated by many before me that will not be Manure.
To think he still holds all the aces as to whether he will stay or go!

Only watched on tv, cba reading through the thread, was Fellani booed because he was ****ing dog turd or was Moyes booed for taking him off?

Can't believe how this season is panning out. A few months ago we were playing the best football I'd seen from an Everton team since the Eighties. Now we are getting humiliated at home by the third bottom team in the division. Today was truly appalling. Our central midfield was abysmal. Osman is not a central midfield player - he is probably our worst tackler and always plays much better further forward. To play Neville ahead of Gibson was just stupid. Major opportunity missed in January to bring in some quality - the signs have been there since before Christmas but we did nothing to rectify it.
Couldn't believe that when we were 3-0 down we were still bringing everyone back for Wigan corners. What is the sense in this???? We still concede regularly from corners and free kicks anyway, so the tactic plainly doesn't work.
Thought Wigan played particularly well - lots of pace and movement when they had the ball and consistent closing down when we did. A bit like us a few months ago.

We have not been playing well since November IMO

the last time I remember us playing well for a whole game was Swansea away
.

Agree with this, seems a long time ago now. Also think we should of got a result vs Chelsea. We even fielded a team that was a similar if not worse than today's lineup and managed to dictate the game vs Chelsea which makes today even more bewildering

Mulled this game over long and hard today, still don't think I've felt as let down by an Everton side, they should have been there for the taking but we crumbled. Never before have I walked out of a match early, Ive stayed through derby defeats and thrashings at home to Bolton but if the players cant motivate themselves for an FA Cup quarter final against the 18th best team from 20 in the Premiership then I dont want to know.

i think this result has been coming all season. teams have ripping through the middle of us with aimless through balls or causing us problems because no-one can organise the defence or attack the ball from crosses. the problems up front have been there too since a handful of games in when Jelavic started moaning at every opportunity. Moyes is too slow to see problems emerging and too cautious to react properly when he does. he needs to go soon or bring in an assistant who can provide the imagination and courage he lacks. hopefully we can get something positive out of this and throw Barkley, Velios and maybe Oviedo into a team that is still talented enough to scrap for fifth against the odds. we have to accept we didn't show the hunger and passion for this that Wigan did and that includes the fans. we need some of Wigan's attitude from today. hope they win it now and we learn from this horrible lesson and go for it for rest of season.

Is it true Moyes said he picked Neville ahead of Gibson through choice? That is incredible is that's true. Moyes will never drop his favourites.

This is the reason why he shouldn't be our manager any more, he clearly isn't good enough.

Accepting mediocrity is horrible, gutted about today.
