Tried to explain to Mrs R why this defeat feels so much worse than normal. Couldnt really make her understand, but two points she got.

1. I wouldnt say i have never seen supporters leave early, but I have never seen so many leave so early. It didnt feel like an Everton match I was watching.

2. Booing our own players. Again, I have never heard that before, justified or not. That is not a dig at the supporters, at all, but it was a second example of how the whole match just felt like it was not an Everton team I was watching.

Taken me, what, 5 hours, to be bothered to post on here, such is the bewilderment I have felt all afternoon. I can take a loss, but in the last 10 years or so, I have never been so bemused at how abject a performance could be.

I was not shocked we got beat today, we've been poor lately and we always bottle it when it counts most.Sad but true.

The magic of the FA cup eh?

What a diabolical show that was, just got back from working in one of the lounges. And I can tell you that everyone was seething, and bloody miserable.

Why on earth did Neville start again? Gibson showed his quality when he came on.

Only person who deserved any credit was Mirallas, other than that, the players should be ashamed of themselves.
An absolute, total embarrassment today, no willingness after a positive performance last week which I thought would push them on for the rest of the season.

Moyes is as good as gone, just heard before leaving he's searching for a house in London, and keeping his options open for Germany as well.

I don't feel angry, I feel dejected, like I couldn't care less really, how huge that game was but not for the first time the players and the manager let down the clubs loyal fans.

They need a serious kick up the arse if we want any sort of result against Man City.
The only positive spin on I would say is we've still got the league, teams will slip up, but the players have to buck up their ideas pronto, or else it's just another season, the nearly men, the first time Ive said that.

............Neville over Gibson was odd to say the least. I suspect Moyes wanted Neville's influence but that means a sacrifice on quality in that area of the field. The selection backfired. I'm happy with Neville starting but that has to be at right back if everybody is fit. I've said many times that I'm concerned about Coleman as a defender.

Neville played RB against League 1 Oldham and got skinned so many times.

what hurts is still no apology from anyone for that sh.t.All we will get is nev coming out with the usual rallying cry on monday ,bollux

Shame on you Fellaini! You've got a taste for money and now wants to leave the club as highlighted you. You gave the finger to the club and the fans today.

just watched the goals back for the first time, heitinga not at fault for any of them - don't understand why some people are slating him

ironically i didnt think distin and heits played too badly, it was the lack of midfield....

1st goal ossie beaten in the air
2nd a neville shocker (well more the norm than a shocker) and the
3rd no one tracking the midfield runner

credit to jelavic today - he wasn't in the game mainly, was unlucky not to score but he ran himself into the ground so much so that he could barely stand at the end of the game
