Really? Didn't Kone only cost about £3.5million and he was man of the match today. When was the last time a lower team came to Goodison and their striker was man of the match (not their goalie or a defender).
I do agree with your second point though and that would be nice to see.

Looking up actually he doesn't appear to be doing bad. I thought DiSanto and Gomez cost around 5M, but it was much less. Plus Whelan never let him spend the Valencia, N'Zogbia and Palacios money. It looks like his biggest buy was Habisi.

Habisi (4M) - I think that price was a bit high though considering he was just coming off 1 good season but he's pretty quality.
Kone: 3.5M Euros
Maloney: 850K - slipped a bit this year but was one of the best attacking mids in the prem the last half of 2012.
Gomez: 1.7M - he's lousy but at least he price was low
Figuoreua: undisclosed
Beausejour: undisclosed - plays great against us
DiSanto 2M - he's kind of lousy, but still young so might get better

Even if his transfer buys were awful he'd still be my 1st pick to replace Moyes. Mirallas can do what N'Zogbia did for Martinez. Plus Olivedo, Osman and Coleman's games were made for his system.

Moyes has performed half a miracle getting us in the top four at christmas - and hasn't been backed at all. He has no plan B? - I think his plan B is to leave the club in the summer and work for an employer that will back him. The players know it - and they've lost that feeling that we are going somewhere. They too are probably thinking about their next moves. This is the state of our club. I think Moyes is an honest man. Bill on the other hand, no. Change is inevitable.

David Moyes plan A is to leave Everton in the summer. He either has agreed or is trying to agree a new job. He's non committal and the players know this. He did well in the early parts of the season but the reason why we were still in top 4 in december was because of not that we were getting results, we were drawing against poor sides, but because our competition had their own struggles. Sure things could've changed if he had more money in January, but it doesn't change the fact that with our squad he has not been getting the results he should. He's a manager who prefers two draws instead of a three from a win and a loss. FACHT.

Moyes OUT.

A number of issues to discuss:

Squad depth - We don't not have squad depth. As I have said CM is the main problem. Today we were struggle to pass the ball in the center of the park. Neville is no longer good enough and should retire with immediate effect. We have no option to change in CM at the moment (Osman, Gibson, Neville I don't include Hitzlsperger he won't be here very soon). Thanks Kenwright you ****, we should have signed Fer. We fail to add players to freshen things up and has caused us now (from February onwards).

Fellaini - seriously would Chelsea want him after seeing him play today? He can think he is bigger than the club but surely he failed to carry the team today. The team just hoof too much because of him playing the "hole". However, we were still hoofing when we were 3-0 down with Fellaini dropped back.

Barkley and Duffy - It's time to let the lads play now. They can't do any worse than Neville and Heitinga. Move Fellaini back to partner Gibson in CM. Barkley to play AM.

Corners then we concede - What happen this season? We concede so many goals through Cks and Fks. We have too many midgets in the team. When Tim Cahill was here he attacked the ball and we rarely conceded. What happen now? And the inept refs keep letting oppositions to foul our keeper (push or obstruct Howard or Mucha to come out for the ball). Moyes needs to do something about this.

Moyes - his contract situation is affecting the team. If he wants to leave then leave now.

I am fuming. 3-0 at home to the mighty Wigan.

David Moyes says Everton must recover quickly from their FA Cup defeat to Wigan.

The manager is determined that the disappointing 3-0 home reverse won't have an adverse effect on the rest of the campaign.

Moyes admitted his side didn't deserve to win the game, which was decided by three Wigan goals in three-and-a-half first half minutes.

He said: "We have to pick ourselves up. We have had a pretty good season, we've not had many downsides but today is a massive one, for me, the team and the supporters.

"We didn't play well and if you don't play well you are going to lose. That's it very simply but that's the case.

"We would normally do better and play better but it was a big off day. Even when we did try to put a bit of pressure on the shots we had were wide or saved."

After being shell-shocked by quickfire goals from Maynor Figueroa, Callum McManaman and Jordi Gomez, Everton tried without success to get back into the game.

"It just wasn't to be our day," said Moyes. "But I have got to say Wigan played well in the first half. They passed it well and had a good chance before they scored.

"The quick goals came and because of that it made it a very difficult task in the second half. The players tried to get back into it but the longer it was going on the more it drained away from us.

"We didn't really create a lot of chances, we didn't threaten as well as we would have liked. We tried to score any way we could but everything we hit went wide or was blocked.

"The whole team is in it together, not any one player. We will pick ourselves up and bounce back. We had disappointment last year and we will try and do a similar job and finish the season well."

Moyes has always been a terrible in-match manager. His strength lies in finding players and man management. Tactics isn´t his game.

More of a coach than a manager.
Absolutely! I've been saying this for years. Top coach, awful manager.
As much as we love Ossie, he isn't good/big enough.
Coleman can't defend, not even a bit.
Jelavic is not a football player.
Fellaini can [Poor language removed] off!
Neville, nuff said.

You know, when you have a good look at our squad or even first team, there's not a lot there really.

All the osman lovers watch his performance today, thats why i've always said he's crap and should be knowhere near our 1st team! Neville is a manc tw*t who should retire.. And Fellaini is an overrated, lazy pr*ck! Can't wait till he's gone.

Just seen moyes' interview. He doesn't seem arsed.
I want to see some passion from a manager, i want to see an explanation and an apology and a bit of anger in his speech, not some lazy, half-hearted 'wigan were the better team' talk.

You can see in his eyes that he can't ****ing wait to leave everton, and so be it. I'll gladly open the door for Marouane too.
As for Nev, make him a coach or something. Why the **** hasnt anyone in everton's management realised that he is utter ****e at football?

This result is all about the manager. And the fact he decided to fck our season by not signing. It's time to go Davey

Where do you even start with something like that today?

Moyes' decision to play Neville was the wrong one and their centre midfield totally outclassed ours.

Our tactics were all wrong- we needed to play a high line and close down from the front. I'm not one of these big fans of 4-4-2 but in this game, we should have gone with two up top.

Fellaini was really poor and the incident leading to his sub was an absolute disgrace. I suspect he will be finished with a good portion of our fans now.

Neville was dire. He should retire as he physically isn't up to it. Osman was just as bad.

Moyes' comments after the game are concerning. Same old comments he makes every week. This was the biggest game of our season and the supporters were badly let down.

Moyes has grown old at everton. Both club and manager need a change and everyone knows it. He´s been here for 11 years and won nothing.

By the same token, the club once had a young ambitious manager and never managed to properly support him.

Osman is just too small to play CM. And if Osman and Gibson are not performing we have no one apart from Neville to play there thanks to Kenwright.
