Hopefully the board are making martinez sign a contract right now...

He doesn't find bargains in the transfer market very well and that worries me. However the current makeup of our squad (assuming we keep everyone but fellani and pick up a striker) would play some good footie in his system.

well at least we won't be going to analfield with a weakened team again. would love to see barkley start vs man city, osman needs a rest badly

What a sham. I know we're all pissed off with the players and the manager but you've really got to look at the source of all this mediocrity from our team. January was a massive chance for us to push on with some new signings with minimal risk. The amateur dealing of Fer's transfer (trying to renegotiate the transfer fee at the very end of the transfer process) has had a devastating affect on the team and the manager. The board are solely to blame for our decline as far as I'm concerned. Furious with their lack of ambition and professionalism.
I agree that the Board have little or no ambition but quite frankly what happened today rests with the players and Moyes for complete tactical ineptitude. After all, Wigan didn't go out and buy players like Fer for £8 million and they crucified us today.

Conviction is another massive problem with our entire club. We seem to lack any belief in ourselves. Just at the moment of success we always seem to inhibit ourselves. This dooms us to failure indefinitely. As a psychoanalyst, I'd love to have some sessions with the players/management at the club to see if this really is the case

agreed, matches of this magnitutde are all about CONVICTION. Its fck all to do with quality. At this level you scrap for every ball, fight for every tackle, and we simply dont do that. We have an inferiority complex and dont believe in ourselves. Its why weve never won at the Sky-4 under Moyes, its why the RS pish all over us at every opportunity. Ultimately if you don't believe deep down that you are capable of beating anyone then you have already lost before the first ball has been kicked. Unfortunately that is Everton all over.

One of the worst performances I've ever seen from Everton. Blame Moyes and get behind the players.

Blame them all mate. The players still have a duty to put in a performance no matter who is selected. Don't think any players deserve pay for that match.

Nothing to play for this season now really, especially if Wigan, Blackburn or Millwall get to the final of the Cup. Would mean only 5th place for Europa, which we wont get.

Really? Didn't Kone only cost about £3.5million and he was man of the match today. When was the last time a lower team came to Goodison and their striker was man of the match (not their goalie or a defender).
I do agree with your second point though and that would be nice to see.

It's alright things will change in the summer, Martinez will be in and Rooney will be home. The Fer deal will be sorted out as well. (y)
