Interesting point that. Next season we are likely to have a lot of the same players we have now, with the same manager....so not sure it is going to get better next season....

The vast majority our players are not even Championship standard now, so imagine them next season... Baines, Williams, Jagielka, Keane, Schneiderlin, Besic, Bolasie, Rooney. Blimey, we'd struggle to finish mid table.

Yes and no. Hate to say this, but McCarthy's injury at least forces Sam to play someone different.

This team's midfield without Gana is horrible. However, the space was there for a true box to box player to dominate. Rooney can't track back well enough and you can see how bad Williams is in space and how get exposed when pushing up.

But WBA had two guys on the outside when Bolaisse came on and were pinned back. Tons of space in the middle top of the box.
