..it was the worst penalty at that end since John Wark killed a duck in Stanley Park.

I don't understand why people think our penalty was "dodgy". Lennon was brought down in the area (like he was in the previous game for no reward). Raheem Sterling and others have been winning penalties for years by falling over in the area from little or no contact.

Like most penalties, there had been no real scoring opportunity, but he was fouled. Maybe not intentionally, but fouled. So, penalty.
