I don't understand this at all. This was Watford. At home. And we were lucky.

You know it's really easy to make this point until you widen the focus a little.

Firstly we were playing with zero confidence. On top of that we were down 2-0 at home. We we hadn't won a game in any competition since the 23rd of Sept.

Let's not even mention that our last two league home games were a 0-1 loss to Burnley and a 2-5 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal.

But yeah...anyway...zero confidence...down 2-0. Somehow we managed to do something we haven't done since 1994...winning a game we were down 0-2.

Anyway the point I am trying to make is that it's easy to say 'but it's Watford at home'...for me there are far more layers to the story than that.

At least we created some chances and got a win, could have been a lot better if Baines and Siggy had finished them chances. I actually thought it was clever by Pickford to give away the pen as that would have been a goal. Lot of pressure to score a pen that late in the game against Pickford who is good at them. Even if Cleverly hit the target Pickford had it covered.

What a relief. Never saw that coming at 0-2. So many things wrong, from the starting line up (set up) to individual performances.
But, we'll take it all day long. Important comeback and important 3 points.
I just knew we'd concede a major chance in those 12 minutes injury time. And so we did. Got lucky with the penalty miss, but so grateful for it. Won by luck (and effort) more than by design. But about time we had a slice of luck. Only 29 more points needed now!

*All* of those layers are the reason one victory isn't all that and we are in the deep mire.

It was great to come back and win, 3 points in the bank. In reality it should never have come to that, Watford really should have been played off the park from the beginning. Hope it is not a false dawn.

The old lady started to rock and the players responded, and so it shall be for the rest of the season.

Well done to the Faithfull today I am still hoarse the top balcony was rocking ha ha.
COYB.

Starting out in half an hour or so.
I'm expecting a win daft as it sounds. This for no other reason than I stupidly think we are due a break or two today from the footballing gods.
This might be via a couple of good performances from the lads, or even a dubious penalty (remember them?).
COYB
Just back home now. What a day.
The penalty was as dubious as they come, but we'll take them all day.
