Replaced them with kids, you don't win anything with kids. One thing we have got is a lot of promising younger players, so if we can carry on moving out of this sticky patch the future is very bright, I just want them to get more time as the established players haven't shown any guts or fight at all over this bad run.

At 2-0 I thought yep it’s not going to end.

Then when we pulled back a goal I thought we could pull back another so wasn’t surprised when it flashed up. I expected Watford to score the winner so was surprised when we scored again to make it 3-2. I didn’t know about the cleverley miss until after it had happened, which was probably best for my heart.

Coming back from two down has probably done the world of good for these players.

Whatever was cursing them seemed to be lifted on the hour mark. Now they must all know that it’s possible, it’s all possible.

I bet goodison was roaring.
