What's the reason for that rule.. does it go back to when there was no transfer window and it stopped teams going out and buying a top player a few days before playing in the final... or something like that?

...I watched Virginia recently and he was poor. We’ve not really got many options when it comes to keepers but I’m of the opinion, Pickford is the best of a bad bunch.

Either Pickford suddenly 'clicks' or we'll probably need 2 new players in the summer.
