Rock on!!!!!! So excited for the win.

Beckford - so excited for him. He's settling in, and he and Saha look like their partnership up top is building - they played well off one another today too. I was surprised when Moyes took him out and put Cahill in - I thought he'd want to save Cahill for Reading too.

Arteta - slowly scrimping his way back? I'd say based on the videos I've seen he's still half the man he can be, but it's better than the 25% he has been this season, and for the last two weeks we've been heading uphill!

Osman - today's performance = another nail in Bily's "for sale" sign. If he keeps it up, those nails will keep going in. Just being realistic, but it was telling that Bily sat today. I fully expect him to start for Reading though, and I hope he takes that nail right back out. But Osman was fantastic today, minus the finishing - he deserved a brace himself!

Totally comfortable game, and good stuff. Oh, and Rodwell looked great out there didn't he? He looked less rushed, panicked and uncomfortable. Feeling his price rise, but I hope we keep him.

Ah, the good Ossie. Been awhile since we've seen him, eh? When he's good, he's very, very good.

Terrific match - could have been many more if we could play the final 20 like the rest of the pitch. As us Yanks would say, "we have a few issues in the Red Zone" Still, it was nice making Sunderland look the way that we looked at Bolton. More of this please, on Tuesday night.

Great to have two nice wins like this in a row...especially after that crap game at Bolton...ugh.

Arteta looked to flash the skill and slickness that we know he has... if we see that the rest of the season things will be looking up indeed.

Osman was relentless and on his game today. Some matches he gets lost out there, but he always plays hard. Today he played hard and was great.

Rodwell looked strong and showed the big talent he has when he got in. I hope we can keep him and build around him. Future star!

Beckford was solid and his speed is so good. Great seeing him get two today.

Howard had the one great save deflecting it just enough to knock it into the post and keep it out.. then getting up lightning quick and finishing off the play. He is the most athletic keeper I have ever seen.

Let's smash Reading on Tuesday. COYB's!

Great great win and well played all around the park.

NOW we need to build on this.

Nice to see a clean sheet and a striker scoring both of our goals.

Bill.. you gonna catch the Dynamo on the webz tonight against FCDallas?

Hopefully they will be able to start faster this year than Everton did... and hopefully Everton can finish up this season strong as has become the second half norm.

Probably not. Too much going on.

Dynamo have had a very strong preseason so far but as we know, preseason means nothing. But encouraging nonetheless.

just caught the highlights on motd, was it as quiet in the ground as it was on the highlights?? crowd seemed a little flat? good result though, looking forward to parking my arse on a seat in the lower gwladys tuesday night :)

I finally got a stream going just in time to see the second goal and had a similar impression. Reached the conclusion that the 6,000 at Chelsea last week were our singers and it's understandable if they had lost their voices.

Great performance. Second half I kept thinking they were going to sneak a goal and we'd have a squeaky bum finish but fair dues to the lads. Jagielka back to his omnipresent best. made them look like, well, like us for most of the season to be honest. They got to the edge of the area nicely but looked tothless from there.

Agree with the consensus. Osman superb; Arteta looked like Arteta; Rodwell looked like Rodwell and Beckford looks now like a premier league striker. Keep it up lads

Great day. Sunderland were poor yes but we were good, it was good to see some slick passing back. And it's no co-incidence that our level of football was on the same day Arteta had his best game for a while.

Doth my hat to Ossie too, he's made himself a first-team choice with a performance like that. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Also pleased to see Beckford on the scoresheet again. Funny what giving him game time and showing confidence in him does, isn't it?

And playing 4-4-2 of course
