Great result, pulls us that bit clear of the bottom 3, its easy enough get dragged into a dogfight this season.

Delighted for Becks and by the sounds of it the Mikel we all know and love turned up today too, it was coming.

Also Reading have been involved in a right battle of a game today v Palace, so hopefully that will have some effect on them come tuesday.

All in all a great day (hopefully felli is ok). COYB.

Good game, should of been more goals though, especially that superb bit of passing around the box which Bily should of scored, amazzing bit of play that! And Ossie should of put that effort away after he got round the goalie but was kicked off the line. Well played Everton, so glad it wasn't a poor performance and get in there finally 3pts!

good game, dominated the first half, beckford getting the goals lookin deecent now
saha , beckford both getting goals hopefully itll stay like that, think ozzie had a deecent game
should of scored atleast one with the chances he had but seeming as we won its sound anyway well done lad.
gets us up the table COYB !!!

Another good team performance and 2 goals scored by a striker when we play 4-4-2 at home with 2 strikers on the pitch rather than 1 striker and Tim Cahill.

Not a dig, he done ok when he came on and his touch to set up Bily was great.

Today was one of our best games of the season and much more like the ~Everton of old.

Was slightly worrying to see another mix up between Baines and Distin which led to them hitting the bar which was similar to the one against Bolton.

Osman done what everyone knows he can, was superb today, worked hard and things came off for him, if only he could play like that more often. Problem is he doesn't and when he doesn't he is poor.

Now we have some momentum hopefully we can make the most of it starting on Tuesday.

And now for some wise words from Lou...

Take them to hear and run with it boys! Great to see Arteta have a good one as well. Well in today, lets do it again on Tuesday with Reading!

Also good to see Osman put in a solid effort. So close to scoring. Agonizing.

Really happy with that. It's been ages since we've had a comfy two nil.

Team done well but Sunderland weren't much cop. Defence was solid and really good I though and we seen flashes of the old Mikel, he was much better today. Saha was excellent at times and Beckford just nets, we need to remain with that 4-4-2 against similar opposition. Howard's save was really important there too like.

Special mention to Rodwell who I though was really good when he came on, a more disciplined and matured performance but Osman was man of the match, a cracking game from him.
