One of them, really.

Just gotta pick ourselves up and carry on where we left off. Not great today, but not the end of the world.

Howard and Osman want f*cking shooting for that. Awful control but why did Howard give him it anyway?

Unlucky really. Threw everything at then second half after a fairly poor first one and could have scored a few if their keeper wasn't fantastic and they didn't clear that one off the line.

Barkley needs to stop shooting from ridiculous distances and angles.

Barry and McCarthy weren't at their best today.

Oviedo' corners were brilliant.

Joel did well. Looked comfortable.

How the [Poor language removed] didn't their keeper get booked for time waiting, by the way?

Ah well. Applauded and sung off at the end for the phenomenal effort.

Yeh Barkley was overdoing the shooting, he has got maybe a little to big for his boots with the hype, the same thing happened to Townsend, just gets the ball and shoots.

Can we go together? If I shoot you first you then shoot me....

Thing is though Dave, who else is there? If we just play McCarthy, Barry, Barkley every game then no-one else is up to speed should an injury or suspension occur? 20 mins as a sub every now and again might keep a player ticking over but you want there to be competition and players feeling like there under pressure and that they've got a chance of getting in the team every week. The overall beneficial effect of that (i.e our consistent good play and positivity) ultimately outweighs the setbacks you will get from time to time, like today.

There's plenty of positives to be had from that performance today and in general so I'm going to focus on those.

I agree with that, but you dose your effort by bringing on players for bits of games...and certainly not Osman if your whole plan is to get a bigger first team pool: we know what he has to offer by now.

Barkley on from the off there should have been the easiest decision of the day. Now he's had his "rest" totally blown apart anyway.

Taking shots at Martinez is just not right. He did what any other manager would have done with all the games coming up, he had to rotate. He probably felt Osman could do a good job on Sunderland and tried to give Barkley a breather and protect him from another yellow card. Osman was supposed to be the most advanced Mid, what the hell was he doing collecting the ball from Howard I have no clue, but it's Osman's fault and his alone... and maybe Howard's for passing it to Osman and going for the ball against Ki.

If Roberto wouldn't have rotated for this game he would have have to for next game so let's just move on, prepare for the weekend and beat Southampton.

Osman can go step on a upside down plug the absolute blurt. I don't even think I wana watch the Liverpool game now coz iv got that much of a cob on.

-----------------Joel---------
Coleman--Jags--Distin---Baines

------------Osman---Mccarthy-----

Mirallas---------Barkley------Pienaar

-----------------Lukaku/Jelavic

For Southampton. If we're up 2-0 I'd give Jelavic and Naismith a go. They need to chip in
