Against Stoke its a fair shout. Lukaku wont bully their centre halves, but Naismiths movement can drag them all over which will allow Rom to exploit the space coming from wide right. But as you say, it wont happen haha
Yeah was thinking it kept Rom far away from Shawcross who iirc is usually the right most CB. Think Kev and Naismith would handle him better as they have a touch of snide that Lukaku lacks.

Give Barry a chance, like. He's had a few stinkers but that's in the absence of James. Let's see if the partnership is still there.

If not, hopefully he'll bring Besic back in. Hopefully he is ill and hasn't been dropped, because he's been ace.

He won't even see the touch line.

Won't be 'on the wing'.

I don't think anyone thinks that Naismith or Barkley will be playing as traditional wingers who bomb up and down the touchline.

But one of them will be playing wide midfield in a formation which is set up for that traditional type of winger.

So them playing wide midfield(when they're crap as a winger) but spending half the game cutting inside (cause thats where they are good) will annoy people (cause they will struggle to do anything good unlike when played in their better positions).

Their role in the team is to start wide midfield, or "on the wing" but thats not where they'll play most of the game cause thjey're crap there. But they're also crap coming off there.

I think he's ill, if not than he should have been on the bench at least for covering McCarthy if he can't play 90 mins.

Hope Baines and Coleman get forward and for once try and cross it. Lukaku and Naismith are decent headers. Play with a touch of unpredictability.

Sick if this feller's starting line ups. Stretch the opposition and play two wingers FFS. Why has he got 4 at the club and playing either one or none?

It's not a luxury to play two wingers, it's a necessity.

At least we have options on the bench to change the striker if need be, but then we've seen games where he doesn't use a sub at all when its desperately needed or bring Kone on with five min's to go....yawn.
We will drub these though.
